THE URBAN RETREAT has been created out of love, passion and a dedication to create a haven where everyone was welcomed

As a therapist for over 30 years it had always my dream to open my own venue where the only thing that really mattered was creating a harmonious environment where you could relax

Having worked in the industry so long, I saw many things I felt could be done differently where customers were the absolute focus.

In 2016 our journey began.
I opened a very small spa, as our client base increased, we expanded and opened a much bigger spa at Blackpool Football Club Hotel.

After 6 years at the stadium I found myself longing for and missing the smaller, cosier more personal venue.
THE URBAN RETREAT vision came to life in November 2025

We have invested time and effort into creating a relaxing haven where you can forget your troubles, the daily grind and just lay back, relax and unwind.

We have 2 luxurious single therapy rooms, which open up to become a twin therapy room, with ultimate comfort in mind these rooms boast large comfortable heated therapy beds, warm towels and flannels as standard.
When ultimate ambience matters these rooms are the perfect escape for any treatment or therapy.

Additionally to this we have a twin Thai therapy room ideal for more intensive massages.
This room is Eastern inspired.
A beautiful room but without all the extras which can make more involved massages a little difficult for therapists and customers alike.
The ideal treatments for this room include deep tissue, Thai, prenatal and more.

Take time to retreat in our relaxation room equipped with heated vibration massage loungers, beanbags plus table and chairs where you can enjoy a grazing platter with your friend or loved one.
